Eighth-place finish in Historic 100 at West Virginia Motor Speedway

With 31 Late Models entered for the preliminary event leading up to Saturday’s E3 Spark Plugs Historic 100, Mike secured his spot into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Starting in fifth, Marlar was an early retiree from the 30-lapper on the sixth circuit with overheating issues.
On Saturday, Mike laid down the third-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat race. Starting the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 in fifth, Marlar dropped three spots in the 100-lap affair top finish eighth.
