In a field of 33 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries, Marlar secured his spot into the redraw with a heat win. Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in second, Mike dropped one position to finish third. He followed Jonathan Davenport and Dennis Erb Jr. across the line.
With the MARS Racing Series on Wednesday at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Mike raced to a fifth-place finish in the 50-lap feature.
Returning with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday, Marlar was one of 81 Late Models packed into pit area at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 32nd edition of the Prairie Dirt Classic. Following the third-fastest qualifying lap in his group, Marlar outran Tanner English in his 25-lap preliminary to pocket the $3,000 payday.
Earning the third-starting position for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win main event, Mike chased race-long pacesetter Brandon Sheppard to the checkers in the 100-lapper with Tanner English rounding out the podium.
With a pair of podium finishes over the weekend, Marlar has recorded 21 consecutive top-five performances.
